Friday, October 6, 2017 marks the fifth annual Manufacturing Day and the University of Northern Iowa’s Additive Manufacturing Center is joining in to host an open house from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. to showcase the importance of additive manufacturing and in particular, how the Cedar Valley is becoming the leading experts in the advancement of the industry.
Those attending the open house will have the opportunity to see the new engineering lab as well as the production, plastics, and design labs where staff and UNI students complete research and projects for large and small companies alike.
The Additive Manufacturing Center is located at 300 Westfield Avenue in Waterloo, IA, on the first floor of the Cedar Valley TechWorks facility. Manufacturing Day is produced annually by the National Association of Manufacturers in an effort to address common misperceptions about manufacturing.
