Through working at the Metal Casting Center on UNI's campus or the Additive Manufacturing Center in Waterloo, IA undergraduate and graduate students are able to gain real-world hands-on experience on private and government projects. These students are given a chance to enhance their metal casting and additive manufacturing experience by working in a hands-on environment as well as managing projects.  Because of this, our students are some of the most sought-after graduates at UNI. It is not uncommon for our students to be in a position upon graduation where multiple employers are competing for them.
