Bert Cantu

Bert Cantu is a Foundry Specialist at the University of Northern Iowa Metal Casting Center.  Bert received his Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.  Bert brings +30yrs experience from having worked in multiple extractive and physical metallurgical roles. In his current role at UNI, Bert is responsible for managing the foundry equipment, raw materials, processes, and ensuring a safe hands-on learning environment.
